Dear WBCA member,

Week 9 of the COVID-19 shutdown is ending. Our hope is that you and your loved ones remain safe and well. Here is your update for this week.

EDUCATION

The WBCA Power Hour online speaker series may be over, but WBCA online educational programming is not. We resume at 11 a.m. ET Monday, May 11, on WBCA.org with featured speaker Dan Tudor of Tudor Strategies presenting on “The Transfer Portal in Basketball Recruiting.” On Thursday, May 14, we drop the next entry in the “Growing Our Game” podcast series featuring the WBCA’s new deputy director, Mary Ellen Gillespie, talking about evaluating staff. You can subscribe and listen to the podcast series on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Click here to view the complete schedule of educational programming coming in May.

BENEVOLENT FUND

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the WBCA Benevolent Fund. Every penny given is 100% tax deductible and goes toward helping women’s and girls’ basketball coaches in need of financial assistance. The WBCA anticipates an increase in applications to the Fund as the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the profession worsens. Help the association help your peers in need.
